Grant Kimball started Green Mountain Development in the Spring of 2011 to help develop and promote girls/women's hockey here in Vermont. He has coached female hockey for over 20 years, 17 of those at 4 different NCAA Division I and III institutions. Grant spent 6 years coaching at the AAA U15 and U19 level in Illinois from 1995-2000. Wherever Grant has coached, developing the girls game at the grassroots level has been a priority.

Grant's camp coaching and management experience started as Director of Operations for the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers of the NFL. In this role, Grant was responsible for operating the official youth hockey and football camps with each professional sports team. In 2005 Grant started the Michigan Regional Girls Development Camp. This experience has been invaluable as Grant has looked to get Green Mountain Development off the ground. In addition to running GMD, Grant is also Co-Founder of The Uncommitted Female Hockey Combine, a showcase for uncommitted high school seniors looking to play NCAA hockey with two locations, Boston and Minneapolis.

During the hockey season, Grant serves as the Head Women's Hockey Coach at Aurora University, a new NCAA D-III program for the 2017-2018 season located in Aurora, IL. Grant previously was the Associate Head Women's Hockey Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Vermont from 2009 - 2016, at Wayne State University '03-'07 and the University of North Dakota from '07-'09. Grant has coached at DI and D-III NCAA levels since 2000.

Grant is married to his wife Lori and splits his time between Aurora, IL and Essex Junction, VT.
